Padding Glue
Padding glue is a special kind of glue that separates easily while maintaining enough strength to handle everyday abuse without coming apart. Padding glue is often applied to one side of a stack of paper to create what's commonly called a notepad. Sheets can easily be torn off one at a time without ripping the paper. Padding glue also has a common use in creating multiple part forms with carbonless paper. Commonly the manufacturer of carbonless form paper will specify a padding glue that they recommend to work best with their paper. These special types of padding glues are commonly called fan-apart glue because the stack of multiple part forms can just be fanned apart into the two or three part sets without having to manually separate them one by one. The added cost of these special glues is well worth the cost when the alternative of doing this by hand is considered.
